Caught up in the nine to five

Still seeking the sustainable dream

Entwining the two…

A spider’s web of deceit

For time ever moving

A vortex in the abyss

of one's soul

Alas, mere perception 

Pauses in the creative flow

Like a lasso to the moon

The kraken's tentacle pulls

Gravity beckons

And for just a moment

I’ve lost the muse

Yet, the artist within

 still resides

Dancing the wanton path

Waltzing high

In homage to reverie

A symphony at play

Time ever present

Hear the Koto sing

Hidden hues still sought

Amid the barren plain

Splashes of color

Upon a blank canvas 

of dreams

You can’t show me where to go

I’ve gotta start moving natural on my own 

These faces, voices shadow me 

Whispers repeat responsibilities 

It’s not me 

But I guess it’s gotta be 

Til I can breathe 

Flow into infinity 

Pressure’s on me 

Passion’s calling my soul 

Just show me where to go, cause I don’t know

To come into the life I wanna create

Try to give it all but I never learned to receive

This collaboration started as an idea to tap into our animal instincts through our movements. This dance and poem are our sweet declaration that we are one with nature, setting free the animal within.

Within me flows the river of life
I am the feathers on the Eagle
I am the breath of the Lion
The heart of the Crow

In me, the Snake finds refuge
Under my arms, the Finch is free

Look into my cat-looking eyes
You will see your soul unveiled
In the depths of my mind
You will find the wisdom of the Owl
My voice is the Tiger’s roar

Can you hear it?
Can you sense it all?

Can you feel the animal within?

Setting free

The Animal Within

As the river flowing into the sea- alive in wonder
I breathe
Water coursing through my veins
I am the healer, the dancer, the wolf- howling amid midnight rain.
For there beneath a pale silver moon
Illuminated upon gossamer wings 
The butterfly hums a silent tune
Her dragon spirit yet to reign
She embraces it all…

We both wanted to do something representing the Moon, being that both of our names mean moon goddess. We also wanted to find an image that showcased the moon and two souls/lovers across the sea/distance. Kuu Sound was absolutely wonderful to collaborate with. She is so kind and truly so very talented. Her music is so ethereal and chill and her vocals, magical. She pieced together my poem and transformed it into a beautiful song. Lynn

Luminous wonder
Adrift upon the ebony sea
Your light shines the way 
To wonder and reverie

Sweet dreams beneath the moon
As you wish upon the night
For tomorrow comes to soon
In the dawns morning light

Weary is the soul seeking the light
For the dreamer still dreams

The nights are never lonely 
Beneath the shimmering moon

Old is the moon

Better Days

I really liked Lynn’s voice as it sounds unique & mysterious or has a mystical essence to it. For the Better Days track, she kind of built her poem around the vocals that were already there. I actually put a lot of time into the music side of that track. It just works the way the sounds play on it. Skip, Bass Ronin

I very much enjoyed working with Skip. His music brings a soothing vibe to the soul. I was honored to add my words and voice to his music track, Better Days i- a remembrance of a time period when the world felt more right and how we all go through trying times, where we’re kind of in an observational state of mind, just watching the world passing by. Learning to embrace change
Time disappears, present entwines past
The fork in the road, all too clear
Yet I linger on the path

Just within my grasp
And I'm tired, caught up in the throes
Lost in the why

The Present Lost is time missed
For the moment ceases to exist
