Later as an adult another spirit/guide (A Blue Jay) came to her with a calling to write down a message. The message was one of forgiveness and self-acceptance. Noemi had her doubts but wrote the message down anyway, and decided to go on a quest of animal symbolism.
What she discovered was profound… Even more profound was an experience shared with her daughter; they had been coloring one afternoon when her daughter handed Noemi a coloring page with only one image, that of a bird colored blue; and in a serious tone, but with a soft smile on her face, said: “Mom, don’t forget about the blue jay.” Perplexed, as her daughter had had no knowledge of the blue jay and its message- Noemi knew it was a sign from the divine to help find clarity. From that day forward, she no longer hesitated and instead allowed the animal spirit kingdom to come through her doors showering her with messages of love.
Reading about her experiences brought to mind my own encounters with animal spirits/souls.
I am reminded of their unconditional love… Their intuitive nature, guiding and bestowing upon us a wisdom forgotten from that place of long ago; remembered in those aha deja vu moments where warm feelings entwine in gentle kindness. And the very real embrace – ‘they chose you.’
Recently, I lost one of the most kindest, beautiful souls I know I will never know. Her name is Natasha, but I often would call her Tasha/Tashi…
She came into our lives already guiding, leaving with her messages. I only now see … She set the bar high in every conceivable way and I see her every morning- dancing in the sun’s rays filtering through my curtains and on my morning drive to work as the sun rises. It was on one of these mornings while reflecting on Noemi’s words/message (“spirituality is a natural coexistence between us and beings of other realms- And it is not away from us or hidden from us. It is there within us”).
I came to see my own animal spirits/guides- Natasha being one, whose light shone so bright that morning in the rising dawn that I immediately felt an inner peace embrace my grieving soul…Her light reflected in the shimmering rays colors of gold and rose, as a flock of birds flew above. I didn’t at the moment think too much beyond how beautiful, but seconds later, literally, more birds showed themselves to me. Birds of every kind, sitting on power lines and foraging along the curbs for food and water. Still, another lone bird sitting upon a traffic light made its presence known. I was enthralled and asked the Universe.
“Is this a sign of my animal spirits/guides?” “Are birds one of the many of my spirit animals?”
Instantly a small bird flew by across my windshield and I knew just like that! I remember laughing, for it really wasn’t an epiphany, my dragon spirit already knew, of course…And like magic on cue, I heard the calls of bird song, and continued to see more birds everywhere throughout the day, even one sitting under a car… The experience felt ethereal, magical, yet so very real and true… For isn’t that the way of the soul and the power of belief in one’s own being…
Excerpt: When we believe or better yet, when we decide to believe in something in particular through a specific practice, it causes us to expand our minds; transcending our perception of life. Whatever we open our minds to flows through us… And we become open to spiritual realities that can be considered organic in their nature. We can become aware of presences whether intentionally or not. Page #8 Animal Spirit Connections.
Another favorite passage from ‘My Fauna Within is the message Love is the link page #15 Excerpt: We are what we believe in our minds to be real and to be true. So how can we know what is true and what is real? The key to finding the answers is recognizing that we are right and wrong simultaneously; it all depends on our perceptions. Therefore, it is essential to reach a personal level where we can explore our minds and souls depth while understanding the source of our lives, and start feeling aligned with who we are and what we believe- no matter what it may be.
Noemi goes on to write about the loving spirits of animals and their intent to help on an energetic level the same way the sun, the moon, the saints, angels, and archangels do. She believes animal spirits project energy and in the end, the energy received from the spirit realm including messages of animal spirits are co-created to the transformation of the body, mind, and soul.
My Fauna Within is a beautiful read/guide of the animal spirit realm as she writes/leaves messages from the many animal spirits – starting with the Anhinga, to the cockroach, the blue jay, the whale, the worm, the dragonfly, the cat and the wolf just to name a few- I especially liked reading about the wolf as Noemi adds a personal story time via dreams and/or experiences to a few of the animal spirit messages… However, her message: To Appreciate Yourself – to know there is so much to learn from animals is beyond aspiring. Animals are very true to their nature and co-exist with their families and environment, thriving, working hard: animals want to remind us how important it is to embrace our humanity in spirit form.
