“Listen” is comprised of the songs Bass Ronin and I have cumulatively worked on together. I think from the first song we made, I was captivated by his unique, soothing, and beautiful production style. The lyrics started to flow naturally for me and we were able to make one song after another, each with its own unique energy.

What ended up being the message behind most of the lyrics in these songs circulates around the deep desire to take a closer look at the world – to listen to people’s stories. To listen to the reality of the struggles of other human beings, and to listen to yourself.

“Poison in my Veins” talks about being out of touch with yourself and feeling the need to reconnect with what you really need in your soul. “Grounding my Soul,” written by Noemi Capote, reminds us how to re-center and heal ourselves again. Kuu Sound

Caught up in the nine to five

Still seeking the sustainable dream

Entwining the two…

A spider’s web of deceit

For time ever moving

A vortex in the abyss

of one's soul

Alas, mere perception 

Pauses in the creative flow

Like a lasso to the moon

The kraken's tentacle pulls

Gravity beckons

And for just a moment

I’ve lost the muse

Yet, the artist within

 still resides

Dancing the wanton path

Waltzing high

In homage to reverie

A symphony at play

Time ever present

Hear the Koto sing

Hidden hues still sought

Amid the barren plain

Splashes of color

Upon a blank canvas 

of dreams

These faces, voices shadow me

Better Days

I really liked Lynn’s voice as it sounds unique & mysterious or has a mystical essence to it. For the Better Days track, she kind of built her poem around the vocals that were already there. I actually put a lot of time into the music side of that track. It just works the way the sounds play on it. Skip, Bass Ronin

I very much enjoyed working with Skip. His music brings a soothing vibe to the soul. The Magic of Earth

This is a lovely collaboration between three creatives who are miles apart but brought together by the power of music. Noemi Capote “Mimi”, wrote the lyrics representing a special experience she had with nature spirits. The song was brought to life by someone whose musical flow is as pure as it can be, Bass Ronin. He produced the song and recorded himself singing the ‘Oms’ at the beach in his hometown of Maui, Hawaii. Kuu Sound’s vocals were the perfect fit to take this song to another level of profundity. Bass was kind enough to release the song through his artist channel, and since then, it’s had over 7,000 streams. Grounding My Soul was created to help brighten hearts, awaken the superpower ability to self-heal, and remind us that nature is home.

BASS RONIN

Known as Bass Ronin, Skip is a Music Producer from Maui, Hawaii. He fell in love with music at an early age, and for about 6 years now, he has been working on a few projects, exploring and expanding his musical talents. He enjoys collaborating with other artists and Brett, aka Greencyde from Dark Heart Records, was his first collaborative track.

“Collabs are always fun because you bring a whole different element to what you normally do. You get to have a different perspective on what is being created.” Some of the collaborations were with Olduvai, Greencyde, Rhekluse, Thememoir, Darnu, and of course most recently with Kuu Sound.

Skip’s discography is splendid, including singles such as Utopia, A Sign, See It All, and Games, to mention a few. He explains that he doesn’t “try to repeat a sound or create something that imitates a certain sound/artist. I create things on a vibe or in the moment so it will be true to what comes to me.”

Streaming his music is to have a sublime experience, helping raise our vibrations to tunes that connect us to our roots and to our beautiful Earth.

COLLABS

We can be miles apart, but our Creative Souls can connect us beyond time and space. That is what this collaboration felt like – an effortless breeze. Grounding My Soul was written by Noemi Capote as a chant to remind us to keep ourselves grounded on Earth. Kuu Sound takes us to a transcendental space with her magical voice, and Skip’s music production elevates the energy within our souls to a space of serenity and infinitely positive possibilities.
