Noemi Capote is a multifaceted Creative Soul bringing inspiration to the world through her writing, music, and spiritual light. Founder and Director of Noemi Creative Souls, a nonprofit for the Creative Arts.
Creative Soul, Lisa Hamilton, shares the nectar of her illustrious heart in various artistic expressions. She’s the beholder of Nature’s essence, caring deeply for the well-being of all species and the planet, and she’s tinkering with the light that bonds us to nature, so we can remember what we are made of.
Lisa is a Herbalist, Energetic Healer, Professional Photographer, and Aerialist from Bonita Springs, Florida. Lisa has studied energy healing, EMF protection, and astro-herbalism, ever-growing her wisdom to offer effective remedies and services through The Apothefaery. “We have our medicine in our backyards,” declares Lisa, who carefully formulates natural remedies to improve our health.
Lisa grew up doing artistic sports such as gymnastics, dance, and cheerleading. Later in life, encouraged by her friend Laura, Lisa discovered the art of aerial silks, learning acrobatic movements on a long strip of fabric attached to the ceiling. Lisa reconnected with the gymnast within, and together with Laura and other talented local performers, they brought their passion to life through captivating shows and inspiring classes.
During her college days, Lisa was driven mainly by the 3D perception. She graduated with a BA in Biology from Florida Gulf Coast University. “If I can’t see it, then it’s not real,” Lisa recalls how she wouldn’t accept anything that didn’t have physical proof. It wasn’t until she was introduced to the practice of Yoga, that she realized the depth found in the realities within herself and the physical world.
As she progressed in her journey, Lisa transmuted her life, focusing not only on the physical but also the ethereal and the magic found in nature spirits. “Faeries bring me back to nature,” Lisa shares how much she feels connected to the fae realm, where she has activated important knowledge to create elixirs that can assure a long-lasting remembrance of the body’s capability to self-heal.
Lisa’s purpose expands into educating us on “how to connect to the nature around us and realize that we are nature.” She’s also formulating herbal remedies for animals, including frequency and energy healing for our furry friends.
Photography found its way to Lisa’s arms through her college soulmate, Eddie Kopp. He encouraged her to snap pics of the artists performing at Sugarshack Sessions for their social media, discovering she had a natural eye for it. “Sugarshack has been the ride of a lifetime. It’s been pretty great, meeting so many wonderful people.” Lisa shares how amazing it’s been to be part of Bonita Springs’s landmark music venue and how much it’s helped her expand her career as a photographer.
“Photography is a great creative source. It winds you up in so many places,” explains Lisa, who joined the Sugarshack Media team to shoot for the Trevor Hall concert at Red Rocks Amphitheater in Colorado. Lisa also joined her friend, Renee’s business (Love Letters Co.), shooting for weddings, and solidifying her skills as a photographer. Lisa specializes in brand, lifestyle, and home-birth photography. In 2024, Lisa released her series, Swamp Girl Summer, a fantasy shoot with her soul sisters, floating in the mystical wetlands of Florida.
We can catch Lisa every week in the podcast, Celestial Curiosities, with her podcast sisters, Meli and Maggie, where they share insightful topics on astrology, herbal remedies, and much more.
This planet counts with the assistance of whimsical Faeries like Lisa, alchemizing our consciousness to enjoy the abundance of benefits Gaia offers and realize that we are the medicine.
“Look to nature to find your answers. Go outside. Be with nature. We are nature. We are the stars. We are the earth. Finding that connection is so important.” -Lisa Hamilton, The Apothefaery
Those who take action with a generous heart, are those who create entirely new worlds, free of limiting skies. Creative Soul, Steve Lane, is a brilliant entrepreneur and philanthropist with altruistic motives to generate boundless bequests for others. His zealous pursuit is to educate and guide musicians in fulfilling their dreams, free of charge, and ensure that they take action with the proper tools and knowledge as they advance in their careers.
Steve Lane is a music publisher, producer, founder, and executive director of the Florida Songwriters Association (FSA), a 501c3 charity dedicated to providing education, resources, and unwavering support to nurture the talents and dreams of these aspiring artists. With a fervent commitment to fostering creativity and excellence, the Florida Songwriters Association is poised to revolutionize the landscape of music education in Florida. Steve also established Digital 1 Media Services Corp, Digital 1 Productions, and Sync House License to service musicians in their careers. Steve is a Committee Member of the Songwriters and Composer Wing of the Recording Academy.
His journey began as a road manager for the first contemporary gospel trio group, Trin-I-Tee 5-7. He was involved with top music producers. After leaving as a road manager for the Grammy Award-nominated group, Steve went on to Tower Records, a retail giant, working for their distribution division, Bayside Distribution. He was in charge of shipping CDs and DVDs worldwide through Bayside Distribution until Napster took over and turned them into relics.
Steve joined Ingrooves Distribution, a partner of Universal. He then went to Sony RED independent division for streaming music, RED Music (currently The Orchard), focusing on streaming, getting involved in music distribution and sync licensing.
In 2015, Steve became a direct publisher and distributor, partnering with FUGA Distribution in the Netherlands, and securing intentional sub-publishing agreements with over 80 countries, distributing music through all DSPS (Spotify, Apple, etc.). Through Digital 1 Media and Digital 1 Production services, Steve handles admin, copyright, and royalties, including pitching songs for sync deals through Sync House License (a division of Digital 1 Media Services). They have landed placements in notorious TV and film projects such as “Ms. Marvel”, “Hacks, Sandman”, “United Shades of America”, supervising music for “Zumba Fitness”, and several more projects. In addition, they have a Roku channel, podcast, and YouTube Channel to promote artists.
“As I started to work with independent artists, I realized that they didn’t know the basics of the music business. How to protect your work? How to collect royalties? How to organize metadata? What’s a split sheet? Simple things we need to know to protect the music and career,” explains Steve, adding, “My passion is education. The more I educate you the more you know and the better you will strive.”
Affiliating with Full Sail University in Orlando, Florida, Steve hosts annual events, workshops, and programs that assist musicians in structuring their music path. Furthermore, graduates from Full Sail University can get hired for Steve’s production team as camera operators, lighting techs, editors, drone operators, sound engineers, etc. They are taking on film projects and are currently working on a documentary for two-time world-heavy champion Pinklon Thomas.
“Your artistry is your company. You are a walking company. Artists make money and lose it all because they don’t treat themselves as a company.” Steve works closely with executives and experts in the music business, extending his knowledge to guide artists and their careers properly, teaching them how to be protected as artists and their own companies.
One of Steve’s greatest inspirations is his uncle, Clancy Eccles. Eccles was a 1960s music producer in Jamaica who influenced Bob Marley, Third World, and many others. Back in those days, musicians would sign deals with foreign companies to publish and distribute their music collecting the upfront fee, not knowing about publishing royalties and giving away their rights with that signature. Some of the songs Eccles produced went on to be hit records, however, Steve’s uncle died without even knowing there was a wealth of royalties that belonged to him. This fueled Steve’s spirit to help others like his uncle, creating a world where musicians can find a safety net and expand their horizons.
Another one of Steve’s passions is working with children. Affiliated with the Boys & Girls Club, The Florida Songwriters Association facilitates students with studio equipment, and they even got to create the theme song for the club. Thankfully, for the past three years, they’ve been receiving a grant from the Orlando Police Department to support their program. Steve is working diligently to establish a scholarship fund to send a group from the Boys & Girls Club to Full Sail University Labs.
“Being able to offer others an education in music motivates me to keep moving forward to keep helping people,” reiterates Steve, who continues to create more events and programs to reach the entire state of Florida with his noteworthy offerings.
Miami is now bursting with opportunities devised by Steve through the Florida Songwriters Association, partnering with the Hard Rock Cafe in Bayside, Miami, and LAMM Miami. Steve and his team are putting together panels with top leaders in the music field to impart their wisdom to musicians about music publishing and production, royalties and how it works, how to prepare for sync licensing, opportunities to pitch songs for projects, and many other important topics.
Steve’s devoted love of being there for others transcends the paradigm of how music and business are handled. He has crafted a world where musicians of all ages are welcome to receive authentic contributions and tangible achievements. Steve Lane is a beacon for musicians, weaving together melodies into one glorious symphony.
“Be kind. Your time is limited. Other’s time is limited. Help people with the investment to give back. It could be time, to give a piece of advice, whatever you give back that will come back to you in abundance. Don’t be afraid to give.” – Steve Lane
The camera is the pen used to write stories through pictures, and Creative Soul, Jahnoi R. Smith, writes inspiring messages with the lights and shadows beyond the lens. Jahnoi’s photographs surpass the limits abound in colors and speak louder than words.
Born in Jamaica and raised in Brooklyn, New York, Jahnoi is a professional photographer, writer, and artist. His inclination for photography was a mere curiosity in his early days, roaming the streets of Brooklyn, snapping pictures of the crowd. However, he didn’t get serious with photography until years later, making Portraits his specialty.
In 2001, Jahn was diagnosed with kidney failure and moved to Boynton Beach, Florida, to get on the waiting list for a donor. After he got the call to receive his second chance, due to the delicate procedure, and extensive and excruciating recovery care, Jahnoi made Florida his permanent residence. He currently works for the City of West Palm Beach Parks Administration.
After his successful recovery, Jahnoi would go wherever the lens took him. He graduated with a Bachelor’s in Studio Art from Florida Atlantic University and started working on creative projects. “I like to take the idea of everyday people, showing the world how people live no matter where they are,” explains Jahn, who takes inspiration from photographers from the 20th century such as Gordon Parks, Peter Lindberg, and Daido Moriyama, narrating stories with pictures.
Jahnoi collaborates with models and artists looking for self-expression, going to venues that suit the story, and evolving through the photo shoot process. He creates characters that portray meaningful concepts, such as “Cammy” and “Agent #6” made with model Sunny Strange.
He has worked with organizations like No More Starving Artists, and the City of West Palm Beach, and you may find him at local art events capturing the magic of the moment. One snap at a time, Jahn reminds us that nothing can take away our unique perspective in life. We just need to use it for something greater and better.
A picture can be interpreted in a million ways, yet the person holding the camera knows the meaning behind the flash and the story they want to tell. Jahnoi’s photography storytelling is a must-read.
“Be more creative. Just do it. Pick up a pen and write. Have a story to tell? Write it down. Pick up your phone and take pictures. Just be more creative.” – Jahnoi Smith

It is said that life is an illusion, yet no matter how we perceive it, life is felt deeply in any state or dimension. Creative Soul, James Jimenez, is an illusionist wizard transforming the way reality is interpreted, frolicking with rhythms and shapes to tell the story of life through movement and flow.
James, AKA Animated J, specializes in finger-tutting, freestyle, and different street dance styles. He’s the founder of Think Outside The Box, sharing helpful tips, interviewing creatives, and offering online classes, including consultation services on different ways of evolving creativity.
Whether it is a plant, a TV, a paper clip, or a laser beam, James believes that anything can be interpreted through movement. “How far can you push something to be an illusion? My perspective is movement. I don’t see myself as a dancer. I create the illusion beyond the movement,” explains James, who considers himself an experimental artist.
“If there were no humans around, I would still create with movement,”James shares that there is no difference between dance and not dance because everything is in constant motion. He lets his body narrate stories through conscious movements such as tutting. Tutting, as James explains, comes from the style of dance popping, which people were inspired from Egyptian-style movement, making squares with the hands, lining with the body. He took this technique as far as he could, bending, flexing, and stretching each one of his fingers, helping the ligaments evolve. Now it’s second nature for him – intertwining his hands and fingers, creating a mirage of the unseen space with his hypnotizing movements.
“Children are closer to the creative source because they are not so conditioned. We need to go back to the free curiosity – be more like children… Play with everything!” – Animated J.
Born in Queens, New York, he moved to the ‘City of Brotherly Love’ during middle school. Dance has always been part of his Puerto Rican roots, and at family celebrations, dancing was a given and James was on the dance floor like uno, dos, tres. Growing up, his parents were video gamers and made it a time to bond as a family, a tradition that allowed James to tap into the world of visual arts and give his imagination more room to grow. He also did martial arts, and by 6th grade, he was very athletic and played football.
“It’s interesting how we get to where we are,” James shares the journey that led him to fall in love with creativity in general. He recalls getting fascinated with dance while watching people do DDR at an arcade, but beyond dancing at family parties, James had little interest in the art. But his younger brother was, and he was good at it, sparking, for the first time, James’s interest in dance. He started browsing dance videos online, compilating his favorite ones from all over the world: contortionism, Hip-Hop, and funk styles. James recorded a two-hour mix video and locked in his room, he would practice daily. Learning the moves. Assimilating the flow.
“Movement is how people tell stories with their bodies.” – Animated J.
After James had mastered the dancer within, he went to the studio where his brother had taken classes to test the waters of performance. “Who? How? What?… Didn’t you used to be shy before and now you got these moves???” This was the reaction James received after he poured his newborn talents on the floor. From then on, the doors to the dance world were wide open and he walked right through them, dancing three-hour-long sessions, and getting into the dance scene in Philadelphia.
James and his brother started a dance group and competed around the city of Allentown. At their first competition at the local Fair, they won first place, prompting James to get into battle dancing. James was getting better and better, not only in technique and performance but in allowing the art to flow through him like a waterfall without constraints. He joined Facebook dance groups where he met more like-minded creatives, and he also started posting videos on YouTube.
While in Philly, his parents encouraged him to get a career, and James became interested in understanding human emotional state and behavior, earning a BA in Psychology. He currently works as a Counselor for children with autism.
“Take time to master yourself. If you know yourself, you will be more clear with your life and you will know what to do,” James’s motivating words come from his experience as a psychologist. He reflects on going through a period of self-realization when he needed to embrace his own world to better guide others with his practice. By embracing his love for dance, he united mental health with art.
On one occasion, one of his muses, a French professional dancer, was running a contest and James submitted his video and won. He got to meet his idol in person, being the catalyst for his creative purpose to be reshaped.
James eventually moved to Los Angeles CA, where he connected with a broader dance community and participated in different contests. He went on to host special events at his place every 2 months. James invites 22 creatives to his living room to discuss topics about creativity, exclusively curating the freedom within the creative arts.
One of his latest projects is World Dance Stories: Who are the more creative people in this place? Who is bending and expanding their limits to express their art soul?? James travels around the world collecting the stories of interesting dancers and creatives, empowering cultures and society and what makes them be part of what they do. His first stop was France in 2024, where he interviewed several creative souls, including Tawatha Camilla, Mila, Gerrit, and Mr. Robot to mention a few.

“Nurture creativity – bring all the arts – it’s refreshing when we unite everything,” James expresses, giving details on his extensive research about the power and source of creativity through time: “The Greeks – by the gods, the Renaissance – from the self, and the Western – it’s the brain/mind,” he explains. James affirms that he is going to be part of the Renaissance of creativity, coming together all at once, and he’s earnestly working to pursue this goal.
“Time has to be used wisely and work every day. You got to do it. Figure out how to find clarity within. Your art is going to represent you,“ James encourages us, adding that we have an unlimited potential for ideas and nothing is wasted when we create.
James Jimenez is a vessel moving freely like the wind, inspiring us to dare to be open to all directions and perspectives in life. With his animated flow, he’s reminding us that reality is an illusion dressed in creativity, ready for us to tell its story with our art.
When we know what we know and feel sure of what we know, all that’s left to do is work with audacious determination and let no one or anything make us doubt ourselves. Creative Soul, Constanza, was born with the unshakable certainty of who she is and what she is here to do. She has fulfilled her artistic dreams with sweat, tears, and smiles, making her music and art beacons of hope.
Constanza is a multi-dimensional artist – she’s an actress, singer-songwriter, and dancer from Chile, currently living in Los Angeles. She also teaches voice and breath lessons, and she plays the piano, guitar, and ukulele. Most recently, she started playing the harp, an instrument that suits her Goddess’s presence. “My main instrument is my voice,” Constanza trusts in her vocals to carry a message of honesty, reflection, and a little bit of spice and fun.
Between the ages of 11 and 12, Constanza started to sing with friends in small bands, joining the high school chorus, and focusing on acting, dancing, and painting. Though she felt more like an actress, when she was 15 she was elected to sing a solo for an audience of about 1000, and at the end of her performance, she received a standing ovation. People were coming up to her with tears, congratulating her, wanting to meet the one with the angelic voice. “If a voice can have this much power to impact people’s lives, then I need to explore it,” Constanza recalls having this reflection after such a powerful experience, and it made it easier for her to decide to pursue a music career.
“I’ve always been an artist,” Constanza expresses in the most humble ways the certainty she’s had since childhood of the star within, and she’s embraced her innate talents and has worked earnestly to reach her aspirations.
Her college days were combined with gigs, performing at events, including weddings. At one of those gigs, she got discovered by producer Gustavo Pinochet, who had led KUDAI to become a multi-platinum Pop-Rock band in Santiago, Chile. He was looking to start a new band and Constanza joined Gustavo on a journey that led to success. They even opened for Mexican Latin Pop group, RBD’s Nuestro Amor tour, when they went to Chile in 2007.
At 20, Constanza had already tasted stardom and the world was wide open for her to keep exploring and growing. With time, the music industry began to change and the record sales declined, making it difficult for her to move forward with the band. This led her to decide to move out of her country to the Big Apple to study Musical Theater and combine all of her skills and passion for the performing arts.
“Chile’s culture is so different,” expresses Constanza recounting the bold move she took to fly out of her parent’s nest, something unusual to do in her hometown at such a young age. She explains that the first few weeks were fearful and challenging, but things just got better and better from then on. Constanza earned a 5-year degree in Music and Singing, and a Certificate in Performing Arts from the prestigious American Musical and Dramatic Academy (AMDA) in New York.
About a decade ago, there were very few opportunities for getting into Musical Classical Theater, however, for Constanza, it’s natural to be in front of the cameras. “I felt like a fish out of the water in New York,” shares Constanza, who started to pursue more acting roles and was guided by a friend to relocate to the mecca of acting, Los Angeles. She’s considered Ethnically Ambiguous, meaning they can’t quite figure out where she’s from, and with her striking beauty, she’s picked to fit several roles.
Constanza has acted in shows such as “Jane The Virgin,” “LA to Vegas,” and “Kevin From Work,” to mention a few, and she’s done dozens of commercials, being the face of Lexus car commercials.
She also starred in a movie in Thailand called “1 Million Followers” available to stream on Apple TV, Prime Video, and at selected theaters in the USA.
Being in L.A. helped her discover new parts of her artistry, inspiring her to write as a soloist for the first time. Constanza worked diligently alongside producers to make her music streamable, and in 2016, she released her first Electro-Pop album called “Make It Happen”. She’s released several more smashing songs including, “Miel,” “Come Home,” and “Dimelo”. Her latest singles include, “I Miss You” with Joelii, and “Dame Más,” a Spanglish-R&B-Pop song that will make your body dance involuntarily.
Constanza has been invited to several TV shows in her hometown and her projects keep earning her a great reputation. She has been educating herself about sync opportunities, taking workshops such as Sync Secrets with Ash, for possible placements on film, TV, commercials, and so forth, and earning a sustainable income with her songs.
Constanza and her sister Daniela founded Palave-Sisters Productions, where they produce content for different brands and have their own YouTube channel “Palave-Sisters”, sharing the most hilarious sketches about fantasy vs. reality, family, and love.
Constanza is amiable and talented beyond this world. She invites us to take a leap of faith in ourselves and let go of doubts about our life’s purpose. It may take us some time to get there, but we can find inspiration in creatives like Constanza to keep going after our heart’s desires and to be sure that when we know what we know the only blockage is our potential to believe in our talents and to know that we can. ¡Claro que sí podemos!
“Everyone’s gifts are so unique. Your art is needed in the world, so everyone is going to bring something different. Art creates change. It is needed for our evolution.” – Constanza
– Constanza
A song inspired by Luca’s upbeat EDM track, co-written by Noemi Capote and Lori Moilov ‘LUV’ with the vision to bring a fun tune for everyone to raise their vibrations. LUV elevated the song with her ear-catching voice, giving it more flavor with lyrics that uplift our spirits and make us dance our hearts out and remember to Reach The Sky.
Although our fragile bodies limit our time in physical form, our souls are transcendental and infinite. What we do and with whom we share our lives while we are on this earth becomes part of our story, of our legacy—leaving behind pieces of ourselves so that our loved ones can create something beautiful with it when we are gone, even when beauty is obscured by grief.
Meg Stewart is a visual artist, illustrator, professional photographer, and haiku master. She’s the founder of The Art of Grief, a collection of abstract art pieces and poetry dedicated to the loving memory of her husband, Jerry Stewart.
Under The Sea
This love story turned into art and became a story about creativity and transformation, which goes beyond the clichés about happiness and soul mates. Jerry and Meg met in the Fall of 1998 and got married in 2004. They were like John Lennon and Yoko, destined to unite their hearts to create a fascinating piece of art with their love.
Jerry was the painter and the multifaceted Creative Soul who was admired by all. He found in Meg the perfect canvas to paint his masterpiece, and he continues to co-create with Meg, guiding her through the right path, brightening the way with the light of his soul, and reminding her how spectacular and ravishing she is.
Sadly, Jerry was diagnosed with cancer in 2016. In the two years that followed, Meg stood by Jerry’s side, caring for him. Her love for him continues to palpitate and with every stroke, she leaves a piece of her heart on the canvas, and with every word she writes, Jerry’s love goes on.
It can be hard to describe how it feels when the unavoidable of life takes a loved one. The awful pain opens a hole in the chest, making every part of the body feel as if it’s vanishing, and whatever we are left with goes unnoticed because the physical world no longer makes sense.
Missing Pieces
Meg had to embark on a journey that was not part of her and Jerry’s vision board. There is no need to describe the dark night of the soul that she went through in detail, but the courage inside her veins, and the love she shared with Jerry, boosted her senses and helped her stand on her two feet and begin the process of healing. Meg sought ways to conduct her pain, joining a grief group program where she was guided to use art to approach grief differently. This is how The Art of Grief was born.
Exposed
Through The Art of Grief, Meg allows the art to take charge to help reveal what she’s truly feeling. This practice serves as a tool to help her understand what she can’t put into words. Meg lets it all out through the brush, going from canvas to canvas, facing her emotions and embracing them, missing him, her eternal love.
During the pandemic, Meg decided to create an Instagram profile to share her extensive collection of abstract art, not knowing how much she would impact people’s lives. Her art is eye-catching and profound. It’s visual emotion on paper.
Bloom Again
Most of the art supplies Meg uses were Jerry’s – charcoal, ink, oil pastels, and watercolor, to name a few. She sells her art by request, on canvas, watercolor, mixed media, and acrylic.
Feeling underwater, lost, and broken is a continuous routine for the grieving heart. Meg has found refuge in her Creative Soul to give her the necessary space to feel comfortable as she allows art to take charge and shape her days and nights.
Besides painting to express her grief, Meg also started writing haiku poems to Jerry. She wrote many heartfelt poems, turning them into a book titled Grief Haiku, available on Amazon.
“Can we just be kind?” Meg is asking us. “We don’t know how much weight the other carries, so please be empathetic. Ask yourself why someone has certain reactions. Try to be kind because something dark may be happening to them. Stop and think, breathe.” Meg is encouraging us to take responsibility for our actions and be considerate of others, even when they may treat us in a hurtful way.
Life is a long road filled with smiles and tears, and when the path leads to tragic experiences, our reason for existence can disappear. It can take many, many years to recover and a whole lot of courage to decide to do it. The pain doesn’t go away; we just learn to live with it, find the light within it, and finally see its beauty.
Meg is the most beautiful example of how to rise from the ashes. She is like the mighty Phoenix, and she has risen, filling the world with the colors of her Creative Soul.
In 2004, Meg got into photography motivated by her husband Jerry – her muse. He would encourage her to pursue photography, knowing well that she had the gift of a ‘seer’ helping time stand still in a single shot. Her photos are available on Zazzle, Shutterstock, and Fine Art America.
Award-Winning Unique Abstract Book Sculpture Artist
Many books have lost their value, packed away in boxes awaiting their final day to draw dust and mold or become ashes. Some books have been fortunate enough to land in the hands of Ted Wray, a Book Sculptor who understands that there is more to a book than meets the eye. He is saving books from extinction, resurrecting them with his resplendent art.
Ted Wray was born with the soul of an artist and the hands of an alchemist. He can hold a book in his hands and see through it, perceiving the magnitude of its essence, knowing that he can sculpt it and turn it into something meaningful.
Playing with various creative disciplines throughout his journey, Ted discovered his interest in carving pages of old books back in 2014. He cultivated a unique book sculpting style in the process, making him realize that he had something new to offer to the creative community.
In 2020, Ted launched his Book Sculpting collection on Instagram, where he shares photos and behind-the-scenes clips of his work, and we can purchase his pieces. We can also join his Patreon account for exclusive access to his art.
Books, and sometimes magazines, filled with images and colors are transformed into masterpieces by Ted. Using a craftsman’s knife, Ted carves one page at a time, starting with the book’s cover and moving inwards. He does not add anything to it but brings out the beauty that already exists within the pages. Time varies, but it can take him about 12 to 80 hours to sculpt, depending on the book.
To create the book sculptures, Ted becomes a willing participant in the creative process allowing the inspiration from beyond the cosmos to guide his X-acto knife and rewrite the book’s story. Ted carves the pages to complement each other, forming a striking psychedelic effect that reveals the most incredible details, which perhaps went unnoticed before.
One of his pieces won first place in the 3-D Art category by The Gilmer Arts (Ellijay, GA) annual juried show. Ted has been exhibited at many art galleries including the Annmarie Sculpture Garden and Art Center (a Smithsonian affiliate) “On Paper” national juried show.
Often, the pages that hold our personal stories need some carving to remove what’s needed and bring out the charm that already exists inside each of us. “Though we may think we have a lot of things figured out, there is far more that we don’t, and experience is a wonderful teacher,” Ted explains, adding that “life is for the experiences, so we must collect as many of them as we can, learning to identify along the way what works and what doesn’t.”
“We need to have the audacity to share our art with the world,” Ted’s message is a reminder that as Creative Souls, it takes a lot of guts to put ourselves out there, and at some point, we must trust in our creative flow and have the confidence to share it with the world without constraints.
Through his notable art, Ted Wray invites us to take a leap of faith, look at the pages in our book, and realize that we can sculpt them and rewrite our stories into something extraordinary.
Ted Wray is a lifelong multi-disciplinary artist who, before delving into Book Excavation, spent 20 years as one of Tampa Bay’s busiest working musicians.
Cade is a musician, artist, and comedian at heart from Arizona. No matter which art form he delves into, Cade enjoys using these venues for self-expression.
Cities with sunset-sparkling skies. Train Stations full of alluring mystery. Cozy living room spaces making time stand still. Lighthouses set amid breathtaking settings… Cade’s art takes us to a unique dimension where fantasy is a dream come true, prompting the mind to undress and simply relax.
“I got into art mainly because I wanted to express what I feel in my head, and also create stories to go with music. With being obsessed with Studio Ghibli as a kid, I fell in love with the way Miyazaki can capture so much emotion in such a simple scene. It always inspired me to try and create the places I’ve always wanted to visit in the same manner, simple yet extraordinary…”

Under the alias Mid Mind Arts, each neon-pastel-color piece awakens a nostalgic sense of belonging, softly inviting us to surrender to the endless possibilities that abound in the present moment. Cade also writes profound statements with encouraging and intriguing words, enhancing the experience found through his mystifying art.
“Sometimes the best way to navigate the chaos is to not take life too seriously and find joy in the little things. Do stuff that brings you out of your comfort zone, you may find what you’re looking for in a place you’d never expect.” -Cade
“My vision behind the piece I created for the gazette was inspired by what you told me and how you went through hard times. With the lotus being the symbol of your platform I wanted to capture it wrapped in gold. The lotus flower is a symbol of strength and rebirth, and gold is a symbol of success and achievement. Though you have been through hard times you have remained strong, like the lotus flower you have risen from the mud and still bloom every day. May the future bring you the best success! Pressure creates diamonds.” Cade
